find hope.

We all need hope. Jesus offers hope in all the areas of our life.

What is the area of your life you are looking for hope in?

hope for a future.

Many people come to Canada with the hope for a better future. Good education for their kids. Financial stability for their family. The hope of rest and security in retirement. But not all these become a reality. Even if you do attain them, how long will they last, really? Sooner or later this life will come to an end. What then?

Jesus gives you hope for a future. A future that never ends. Jesus said, “Anyone who believes in me, even if they die, they will live.” Jesus gives hope for a future that not even death can bring an end to.

hope for belonging.

We all need love and a place to belong. But the reality of life is often different. Many of us feel lonely, isolated, and unable to connect meaningfully with others. Or we feel forgotten and overlooked.

But there is hope for belonging.

During the time of Jesus there was a man who had a severe skin disease. This disease meant no one would come close to him. He couldn’t live in the city with everyone else. He was all alone.

One day he met Jesus and said to him, “Lord, if you want, you can make me well.” Full of love for the man, Jesus embraced him and said “I do want to, be well.” At that moment the man was cured and could return to live with his family and friends.

Just like with this man, Jesus sees you, even when no one else does. He comes near when everyone else has pushed you away. He wants to make you whole. He wants to give you a place in his family where you can find love and belonging.

hope for forgiveness.

We all make mistakes. We all have things in our past that we are ashamed for other people to see. We try our hardest to hide these things because we think that if others knew they wouldn’t like us.

Jesus sees you. He knows all you have done, and he still loves you. In fact, he loves you so much that he gave his life as the way to forgive all the things you have done wrong.

His death can wipe away even the worst things you have done. In Jesus, there is hope for forgiveness.

hope for hard times.

Life is tough. Circumstances change. Many of us are just struggling to get by. Hope seems unattainable.

Jesus promised a hope that does not depend on circumstances. He showed us how it is possible to have joy and purpose even when we are living a day-to-day existence.

hope for rest.

Life is tiring. Work, school, and family responsibilities all weigh us down. It can be a lot.

Amid the burdens of life, Jesus promises us rest. He said: “Come to me all you are are tired and weighed down and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, learn from me...and you will find rest for your souls.”

Jesus offers hope for the weary and for the tired. He gives the hope of rest. Hope that we don’t have to do it all by ourselves. Hope that there is someone there to help us. Hope that he will provide for us, care for us, give us strength, and give us rest.

hope for restoration.

We live in a broken world—marked by broken relationships, broken dreams, broken homes, and broken lives. Our newsfeeds are filled with stories of war, conflict, disaster, and hardship. It can be overwhelming, even disheartening.

But into this brokenness, Jesus came proclaiming good news. He brought hope to people who were used to hearing only bad news. Jesus came to restore what’s been broken—our lives, our relationships, and the world itself. He came to undo the damage caused by our turning away from God and his ways.

Jesus gave his life to make restoration possible. He came to put us right with God, and to begin the work of putting the world right, one life at a time. What does that look like? It means being forgiven for the things we’ve done wrong, and being transformed into people who love others and bring good into the world.

In a world filled with brokenness, Jesus offers real hope—the hope of restoration. Hope in good news.
